Obesity expert Professor Klim McPherson, of Oxford University, warned that the young – particularly women – were ‘eating themselves into an early grave’.
This obesity experts said that young girls’ waistlines have grown by four inches in 30 years due to rising obesity. He pointed out a few factors that contributed to this phenomenon in the Great Britain.
Over-eating is one main cause, the others are the girls in Britain are reluctant to take part in physical education classes or join school sports teams.
This is not a healthy sign. Though most the young girls will outgrow this phase, many will have to face the task of fighting to shake off these extra weights. It will be better if they can be taught to eat less when they are younger.
