Like all fathers, billionaire fathers also have high hopes for their off-springs. So , Warren Buffett must be one ‘happy’ father to see how ‘firmly grounded’ his son Peter is. Just look at the photo in the article where the father (in the background) sports a big smile on his face. Congratulations to them both.
Children with rich parents are usually viewed as fortunate and blessed but in reality this may not be so. Too much of a good thing can spoil them. If care, in the form of good values, good conduct, good ethics and good attitudes, is not dispensed with the goodies, these children may acquire the wrong impression that the rest of the world owes them a living. With these come all the obnoxious behavior, annoying attitudes and mean characteristic. They often turn out to be an embarrassment to their parents.
How Peter Buffett has turned out is sure a tribute to the hard work Warren Buffett has put in into bringing up his children. Most of us are not near the wealth Warren Buffett possesses but we still have to put in our effort if we hope to build character into our off-springs.
