Oprah got New York Times food columnist, Mark Bittman to give us some tips on how to slash our grocery bills and at the same time get more nutrition out of our food.

We are all members of a self-indulgent, lavish society. We tend to buy, especially food items, more than we need. Very often, much of these food are not totally consumed. A large portion of what we buy end up in the rubbish bins. We need to take a look at our buying habits, we must not be so wasteful.
Mark points out a tool which everyone of us has in our kitchens. He feels it is the most unappreciated appliance. Guess which item he is referring to? The freezer! A tool good for good and bad times. He shares ways we can utilize the freezer. What he says make sense, read it yourself.
