Aren’t Ships supposed to be on water?

Ships are built for the deep seas but in Historic Malacca, there is a ship built for the land. You cannot miss it when you are visiting the state. It is placed right in the middle of town and in the middle of Malacca’s historical sites. It is next to the mouth of the Malacca River, near to the Menara Taming Sari, the Red Clock Tower  and the Old Fort.

This is a replica of ‘Flor de la Mar’ (Flower of the Sea) – a maritime museum piece. It is 34 meter …….. (for more click bar below) high, 36 meter long and 8 meter wide. It was supposed to have sunk off the coast of Malacca carrying loot plundered from Malacca.
