On reaching Hengdian, there is nothing but filming studios all over. Hengdian is the Chinese ‘Hollywood’, many Chinese epics depicting the empires, emperors and dynasties of China’s past were filmed here. Many Chinese actors and actresses have made their presences here.
The whole area is huge and the palace replicas built are really colossal. Photos of the palaces will be posted later but for now I have posted photos of the show we attended in one of the studios.
‘Romance of the Song Dynasty’ is the name of the show. Many performers were involved, the show was very colorful and the customs really attractive. Though the show is meant for tourists, it was still a pleasure to watch.Do attend it if you happen to go that way.
